Designing reference beam for phase retrieval

چکیده
In this work we present a method for image reconstruction from the magnitude of its Fourier transform in the case where certain parts of the sough image are known. The method is base on continuous non-linear optimization. Fast reconstruction speed of the method and its ability to tolerate errors in the measurements are demonstrated by numerical results. The method is compared with previously proposed algorithm for phase retrieval with known boundaries by Hayes and Quatieri and its superiority is demonstrated.

Gyrotron Internal Mode Converter Reflector Shaping from Measured Field Intensity
We present the formulation and experimental results of a new approach to designing internal mode converter reflectors for high-power gyrotrons. The method employs a numerical phase retrieval algorithm that reconstructs the field in the mode converter from intensity measurements, thus accounting for the true field structure in shaping the beam-forming reflectors. An outline for designing a four-...
متن کاملPhase retrieval combined with digital holography
We present a new method for realand complex-valued image reconstruction from two intensity measurements made in the Fourier plane: the Fourier magnitude of the unknown image, and the intensity of the interference pattern arising from superimposition of the original signal with a reference beam. This approach can provide significant advantages in digital holography since it poses less stringent ...
متن کاملIdentity Authentication Based on Two-Beam Interference
A two-factor identity authentication method on the basis of two-beam interference was presented. While verifying a user’s identity, a specific “phase key” as well as a corresponding “phase lock” are both mandatory required for a successful authentication. Note that this scheme can not only check the legality of the users, but also verify their identity levels so as to grant them hierarchical ac...
متن کاملSynthetic-aperture direct-detection coherent imaging
This paper describes an approach to coherent aperture synthesis and fine-resolution image reconstruction employing phase retrieval from intensity measurements. A Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm is used on a pair of intensity measurements to obtain the fields for each telescope at each position of the telescopes without a reference beam. These are combined into a larger synthetic aperture, and a cros...
متن کاملNon-Interferometric Tomography of Phase Objects Using Spatial Light Modulators
Quantitative 3D phase retrieval techniques are based on either interferometric techniques such as holography or noninterferometric intensity-based techniques such as the transport of intensity equation (TIE). Interferometric techniques are vibration-sensitive and often use a reference beam requiring complicated optical alignment. In this work we develop a simple, fast, and noninterferometric to...
